Before You Request an LED Display Quote
Prepare for your LED display enquiry with seven practical tips covering screen size, viewing distance, installation, quotation scope and delivery.

7 Details to Prepare
An LED display enquiry often starts with a simple message:
“We need an indoor screen, around 3 × 2 metres. Please send your best price.”
That is enough to begin a conversation. But a few more details can make the quotation much more useful—and reduce revisions later.
Before contacting a supplier, here are seven things worth preparing.
1. Where will the screen be used?
A meeting room, retail entrance and event stage can have very different requirements, even when the screen dimensions are similar.
Tell the supplier what the screen will do, whether it will be installed permanently or moved regularly, and whether it will be used indoors or outdoors.
A photo of the location is often helpful.
2. What space is actually available?
There is a difference between the display area you want and the space available for installation.
Share the maximum width and height, along with any limits on depth. Mention nearby doors, columns, ceilings or access routes.
LED displays are assembled from modules or cabinets. The proposed screen dimensions should be checked against the available cabinet layout and the space needed for installation.
3. How close will people stand?
The nearest viewing position helps guide pixel pitch selection.
Also describe what viewers need to see. Promotional video, small text and detailed presentations place different demands on the display.
If your project requires a minimum resolution, such as Full HD, state that clearly. Physical size alone does not confirm resolution.
4. How will content reach the screen?
Will someone connect a laptop by HDMI? Will the screen play scheduled advertising? Does the team need remote content updates?
If you already use a controller or media player, share its model.
This helps the supplier check the control configuration and explain what is included in the quotation.
5. How will the display be installed and serviced?
Tell the supplier whether the screen will be wall-mounted, suspended, ground-supported or placed on a freestanding structure.
Also explain whether technicians can access the back of the screen.
Confirming access early helps avoid a situation where the display fits the wall but cannot be serviced conveniently.
6. What should the quotation include?
Ask for a clear list of included items.
Depending on the project, these may include the display cabinets, controller, cables, spare parts, packaging and mounting components.
Freight, local installation and commissioning should also be clarified. When comparing quotations, check that they cover the same scope.
7. When and where is it needed?
Share the destination and the date the screen needs to be ready for use.
The schedule should allow for production, testing, transport and installation—not only the factory completion date.
If the project has documentation or certification requirements, mention them before the configuration is finalised.
A practical starting point
You do not need a complete technical specification to make an enquiry.
A location photo, approximate dimensions, intended use, viewing distance and target date are a useful starting point. Any missing details can then be discussed.
At WINTECH LED SOLUTION, we help customers work through screen dimensions, configuration and supply scope before placing an order.
